We chat with Victorinox Swiss Army at CES 2012 about its upcoming monster 1 TB SSD drive that will be available soon. Meant for the data road warriors out there, this 1 terabyte SSD fits into the size of a flash drive in your pocket, and will retail for $2999 when it goes on sale. It also has a small display integrated into its side, which can give you information about the drive and the data held on the drive.

Mimico is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace with a new collection of mimobots. The first will be Darth Maul, which will be released June 10, as the 13th Star Wars flash drive. Test Drive Speed with Check Flash

Check Flash Screen Russian software hobbyist Cherkes Mihail has devised Check Flash. This free program can be downloaded so that you can test the speed of your current flash drive or others and format them if you wish. It is not necessary to use an empty drive although some of the tests will blank them, so the creator has kindly included the ability to pass command line switches and allow batch processing.
